A few rain sprinkles didn’t dampen spirits for opening day of the Bremerton Farmer’s Market. More than 25 vendors pitched their pavilions on the grass beneath the trees near last year’s parking lot location. This new spot allows visitors to park more freely and enjoy a shady stroll among greenery while shopping, chatting, and eating.
What to buy: plant starts from farmers and nurseries; tie-dye shirts and home-made aprons; lavender soap and jars of spices. What to eat: smoked salmon, burgers, cheese, kettle korn, crumpets, cookies, and ice cream!
Pop into the market to check out the rack of organic seeds, new this year, or chat with a Master Gardener. The market runs 4 to 7 on Thursday evenings, just in time to visit after work and pick up fare for the weekend!
