The Kitsap year has two seasons: pantry and farmers market! By May all the farmers markets are open around the county. The last market closes in December.

Greens – salad greens, raddichio, kale
Brassicas – cabbage, brussels sprouts
Roots – potatoes, beets, carrots
Squashes – colorful and hardy winter squashes
Meats – chickens, beef, pork, lamb
Fruits – late season apples and pears

Meat-starch-side meal: chicken with roasted root vegetables and lettuce
Pork with braised greens
Soups – squash, chicken, beet/borscht
Holiday dinner – A Fancy Local Holiday Meal
